141 twitter mentions. what a way to start 2012. (i bet it was his assistant who tweeted that)
had to stop & park and switch off my phone’s notification.
so…..2012. i’m so happy to see you. i really hope the Mayans screwed up their predictions. so, what did i achieve in 2011? Nothing much really. Was having a conversation with the missus and i was saying that i was pretty disappointed with myself, cos i didn’t achieve much.
then i realised that i quit smoking. oh hellllll yeah. its only been 2 months and 22 days but i think i’ve really quit the death sticks for good. i plan to keep it this way and hell yeah 2012 will be AWESOME.
Possum.

caught 50/50 with the missus today. it was a hard flick to watch. we cried. the whole movie was about the missus’ late sister. everything that the character goes through in the movie, was freaking similar to what she experienced when battling the god-damned fucking cancer.
she survived and fought it. then months later god decided to bring her home. WHY?
the longest i’ve been
so it’s been 1 month and 21 days since i last smoked a death stick.
i hope to stay this way. all thanks to the alternative nicotine delivery device.
i’d rather have 1 ingredient (nicotine) than 4000 cancer inducing carcinogens.
wise choice? i think so too. hopefully i’ll wean off the nicotine by lowering my intake. yay me.
So one of boys got hitched. Who’s next? Obviously not me.
So happy for him! My buddy of 300 years. Haha kidding. Lesser hangout sessions, I can foresee. (yoda speak?) But hey, it’s the next stage of his life and I wish him all the best and nothing but the best. He sent me a touching text message the day after his wedding. Aww…bromance. LOL :)
Hello Bali!
1st day - nothing much really. Walked around legian and kuta and found some hidden gems (ultra cheap food!) and bargained for a snorkeling trip for day 2. First tour agency quoted us 60$USD! freaking hell mate! Walked some more and ended at mr smiley poppies lane 1. Totally recommended. Managed to get snorkeling, and a trip to turtle island for around $25sgd! Booyah! We then had dinner of super cheap satay, nasi goreng and lots of sosro’s teh botol.
Day 2 - waited an hour for the driver to pick us up to Nusa Dua for snorkeling. Snorkeling was shit really. Murky water. Pulau penyu was the highlight. The guide, Wayan, was hilarious!! Ended everything around 5pm. Went back to poppies lane 1 to set up a bungy jump with Erwin. 7pm, my crazy mothertrucker friend jumped down a freaking high tower. again, we ended the night with lots of teh botol and satay. Satay were 16cents/stick. Booyah!
Day 3 - booked a vehicle+driver through the hotel’s concierge Pak Sena. Managed to get an unofficial quote (meaning not the usual jacked up tourist price) from him. Full day trip around Bali in a comfy van and driver/guide for 40$USD. Quite a good deal I must say! Went to lots of places which I can’t remember the names. Heh. Discovered a satay and bakso warung right in front of our hotel at jalan patih jelantik. Yeap, we bought the whole shop.
Day 4 - woke up real late. Packed and rushed to the airport. Ngurah Rai airport is kinda…confusing. Flight delayed for an hour and then we were back in crazy Singapore.
Next time - spend 10+ days in Bali. Challenge accepted!
I love u netflix. (random)
And I’m off the arm sling! Yay!

ok now its off my list of ‘things to do’
can someone say clavicle fracture? good boy!
today she’d have turn 24. happy birthday my dearest sister. we all love you and miss you.
gone too soon. too soon god dammit.
Social experiment - [Results]
So I ran a small experiment to see if we are really dependent on social networks (facebook, etc) to supplement our umm…social life.
Facebook has this thing where they announce someones birthday, so I decided to turn that feature off. And here are the results.
As of today, a day after my birth date, I did not receive any birthday wishes on facebook. I did though receive 5 text messages on my phone.
I have to admit that I myself depend on birthday notifications on facebook and my conclusion is yes, we are dependent on a social network to remember personal things like birthdays. Either that or people just don’t give a damn. :)
