I’m in langkawi and it’s been great so far. Today is my second day here. Come Thursday I’ll be in Penang meeting Julian, an ex-colleague. Langkawi is great but everything is so darn expensive here except for 4 main duty free items. Vehicles, ciggarettes, alcohol and chocolates. I got a Suzuki sx4 for a steal at 60 ringgit a day. That’s 26 sgd and probably 11usd. Man! That’s freaking cheap. And to the rest of the hustlers in the airport offering 120rm for a kancil, booyah! Oh and cars being tax free here, I’ve had my share of high end car sightings. Saw lots of evo 10. 1 Hyundai coup. Lots of Korean cars round here. And also china made cherry and geely. Must have been so darn cheap. I wanna buy a house here! Haha. I try not to eat anywhere near the motel i’m staying. Pantai cenang is notoriously expensive when it comes to food. So I’d drive to the kampung side and have a meal at a warung. Plus a drink, the damage is around 5rm.
It’s 2am now and I can’t sleep. Playing games and surfing around on my iPhone. I got a week of unlimited 3g data from celcom at 20rm! Sweet!
